Community Services Aide

Salary range is $10.30 - $11.82 per hour.

Position Descriptions for Areas of Responsibility:

Admissions and Turnstile  attendants are responsible for selling admission tickets and parking passes. This position provides customer service to answer questions, welcomes guests, and maintains the cleanliness of assigned work areas. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing guest support through ticket collection and membership verification at turnstiles, operation of the entry and exit gates, as well as greeting and providing information about Happy Hollow.  Candidates interested in this position will be required to successfully pass a basic math assessment at the time of interview. 

Food Service Attendants provide courteous guest service, take and prepare food orders, operate general food equipment (i.e. slicers, fryers, grills), process food and beverage sales, and perform various cleaning and sanitation duties within the kitchen, dining, stockrooms, serving, and preparation areas. Candidates interested in this position will be required to successfully pass a basic math assessment at the time of interview.

Under guidance and training, Ride Attendants are responsible for the cleanliness and safe operation of park rides and attractions. They courteously ensure the safety of guests by visually and physically performing daily rides inspections, checking all safety restraint systems and making ride announcements. They load and unload guests, maintain safe ride procedures, check and enforce height requirements, and implement emergency stop and evacuation procedures when necessary.  Ride Attendants will also perform light cleaning to maintain the cleanliness of the park.

Celebrations Team Attendants assist with making each party a memorable and effortless experience for our customers. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing exemplary guest service, set up and delivery of food services, assisting with guest  activities and games, working with other Happy Hollow teams in providing services to Celebrations, assisting and interacting with park visitors, and decorating and clean-up of party areas. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working with people of all ages, enjoy being outdoors, can work independently and in a team environment, and are willing to contribute to our guests' positive experience. Team members will learn decision making skills, customer service skills, communication skills and time management. Team members may have the opportunity to learn how to face paint and work special events.

Face Painters are needed for our fun, exciting and rewarding Face Paint Team. Face Painters must be able to work with park guests of all ages, efficiently manage time, enjoy the outdoors, be able to learn quickly, and have an artistic background. Face Painters will be trained in standard face paint procedures and basic face painting skills. Prior experience is not always necessary.
