What items can we bring in to Happy Hollow for our party?

Parties are welcome to bring in their own decorations (excluding most piñatas or balloons). Only decorations that can be held up with tape are permitted in the reserved areas. You are responsible for cleaning up anything you bring into the party area. Top

When I purchase over the $50 food minimum, can I bring in my own food without paying the $100 self catering fee?

The self catering fee applies anytime when outside prepared food, other than cakes, are brought into Happy Hollow. Top

Do members get an extra discount?

All members receive 10% off all food and beverage orders. Please inquire about quantity discounts.  Top

 

How do party guests receive their tickets?

At the choice of the Party Client, tickets may be distributed by mail up to four weeks prior to the party date, picked-up in person, or will-called to attending guests.  Will-Call services are complimentary for all Celebration plans. Final will-call lists are required three days prior to the party date.  Top

Can we bring in our own food?

Parties are permitted to bring in their own cake or dessert for any of our Celebration Plans. All plans with exception of “Simple Fun” have the option to bring in outside prepared food. The charge for the self catering option is $100.  Top

Are there healthier food options available?

Happy Hollow offers a variety of healthy and traditional food choices.   For parties looking for a more specialized menu, Happy Hollow offers clients, as part of the Extraordinary Celebration Plan, the ability to customize food choices and even add items not normally included as part of the menu.  Parties may also choose to cater their own party. For a $100 service fee, parties may bring in outside prepared food.  Top

Can we bring in beverages?

Parties may not bring in outside food or beverages to the reserved areas without paying the $100 self catering fee. Top

Does the park provide ice coolers?

Happy Hollow provides ice coolers for all beverages ordered through us and will not be able to supply coolers for those choosing the self catering option. We provide a dispenser of ice water to each party as part the each Celebration Plan. Top

Are balloons or piñatas allowed inside Happy Hollow?

Mylar balloons and pull string piñatas are permitted within all of Happy Hollow's Celebration areas. All mylar balloons must be properly weighted, pre-inflated and are restricted in all zoo and rides areas. Please ask a party planner for more details. Due to the health risks towards animals and guests, traditional piñatas requiring bats and latex balloons are not permitted inside Happy Hollow Park & Zoo.  Top

Do we need a large group to reserve the larger areas?

Any size party with a 14 ticket minimum purchase is welcome to reserve the larger areas. Each area is available on a first-come first-served basis.  Top

Which areas have the most shade?

Depending on the time of day, the areas that tend to have the most shade are the following: Sunflower Circle, Danny’s Party Place, and Chimes & Bells.  Top

Is the birthday child free?

One complimentary admission ticket is included with the purchase of each Celebrations Plan. This ticket does not reduce the 14 ticket minimum purchase requirement.  Top

We have strict dietary needs, can you accommodate?

Happy Hollow offers a variety of food and beverage options from which to choose. However, we understand that our menu may not meet specific dietary needs and we offer three options. 1. Parties looking for a more specialized menu can purchase the Extraordinary Package and have the ability to customize food choices and even add items not normally included items as part of the menu.  2. Parties may choose to cater their own party by paying a $100 service fee to bring in outside prepared food. 3. In circumstances when strict dietary needs affect 10% or fewer members of the party, Happy Hollow will waive the self catering fee and permit the party to bring in food that addresses their specific dietary requirements.  Top

Can you store our belongings?

Yes, storage can be arranged for party supplies at the Happy Hollow Will-Call desk on the day of your event. Please note that each party is responsible for picking-up items and taking them to the party area. Happy Hollow also offers a dedicated party host option for parties who would like additional assistance. One of the many duties of this staff member would perform is to store, deliver, and assist in setting up party supplies at the party area.  Top

Do you have a freezer for Ice Cream?

Happy Hollow is unable to hold any ice cream at this time due to not having refrigeration services available to guests. Top

Can you store our cake?

We are able to hold birthday cakes at room temperature.To arrange to have Happy Hollow hold your cake, please contact the Celebrations Lead for assistance on the day of you party.  Top

How do we get our belongings into Happy Hollow?

Push carts are available to all parties to assist in transporting party supplies between your vehicle and the party area. Push carts may be checked out with Celebrations staff. Happy Hollow also offers a dedicated party host option for parties who would like additional assistance. One of the many duties of this staff member is to meet you at your vehicle with a cart to escort you through Happy Hollow’s back areas directly to the party site. Top

Is parking included in the plan?

One reserved free parking space for the party client is included in all plans except “Simple Fun.” Discounted parking  may be purchased prior to the party date for your guests.  Additionally, with the purchase of either “Danny’s Favorite” or “Extraordinary Celebration” plans discounted parking rates of $6 are available for all guests. Normal parking cost is $10.  Top

Can we hire our own extra entertainment?

Outside entertainment is prohibited.   Top

We want to bring our own table cloths. How wide are the tables in our area?

Table arrangements between party areas vary. Party area configuration maps area available for each area. Generally, the rectangular tables are 8 ft long by 29 inches wide and the round tables are 3.5 feet in diameter.  Top

Do we pay for the parents of the children at the party?

This is at the discretion of the party client. All guests two years and older are required to have a ticket to enter the park. However, some clients choose to only pay for the child. In this instance, the parents of those children may purchase tickets at our admission booth for $8.00.  Top

 

How will our guest know where to find our party?

All party areas are located in the Five Point Forest adjacent to the Redwood Lookout and most of Happy Hollow’s rides. Each party area is also labeled on park maps located throughout Happy Hollow.  If your guests need directions within the park please ask any Happy Hollow team member.  Top
