Stroller Safari

(Ages 10 months-2 years with an adult)
This class is for adults with infants and/or toddlers who want to learn more about the zoo and its residents! Enjoy a stroll through Happy Hollow to view different exhibits each week and meet an animal up close. Learn how we make animal exhibits engaging for young children and stay after class for informal play time to get to know other zoo families. This class meets for three sessions. Each Stroller Safari Class is different from the previous one and we visit different animal exhibits, as well as a few of our favorites, in each class. Please respect age restrictions and do not bring older siblings to class. Class fee is for 1 child and 1 adult. Each additional participant requires an additional fee.

Tales for Tots

(Ages 2-3 with an adult)
Stories come to life in this exciting three-part class. Toddlers and their adults will hear a story and explore the world of the story through songs, hands-on activities, and by meeting live animals. Each Tales for Tots Class is different from the previous one and we meet different animals, as well as a few of our favorites, in each class. Please respect age restrictions and do not bring younger/older siblings to class. Class fee is for 1 child and 1 adult. Each additional participant is an additional fee.

Zoo Kids

(Ages 3-4)
A wonderful way for your child to explore the world of animals in a safe, friendly environment. Each class includes interactive lessons on the topic, hands-on activities, crafts, and meeting animals. Topics for Zoo Kid classes are designed as a three-part series. Children must be potty trained and comfortable attending class unaccompanied.

Wild Science

(Ages 4-6)
Explore the wild world of biology in this hands-on class geared to meet CA Science Standards. Each “edutaining” class includes an interactive discussion, inquiry-based activities, and a visit from one of our animals. Join us for a class full of discovery and awe - great for homeschoolers too!

Jr. Keepers

(Ages 7-9 and 10-13)
Does raking, scooping, feeding, enriching, and caring for zoo animals sound interesting to you? Then join the zoo crew! Learn a variety of zoo keeping skills and help Happy Hollow’s zookeepers take care of our zoo animals. Jr. Keepers will explore different aspects of zoo keeping throughout the year.

Family Fun

(Ages 4+ with an adult)
These fun family classes are filled with activities for adults and children to do together. Sunrise Safari

(All Ages)
Be the first through the gate and wake up with the animals before the zoo opens! This unique tour will lead you through the zoo and behind the scenes to learn about our early risers and how we start their day off on the right foot, paw, or hoof! Each tour visits different animals as well as a few of our favorites from the last tour!  Class fee is for 2 participants.  Each additional participant is an additional fee.

School Break Camps at Happy Hollow!

(Ages 5-9)
Spend your week off school learning at the zoo. Our camps are filled with hands-on educational activities, meeting live animals up-close, zoo tours and more. Camps are limited to 24 participants and children attend camps independently (without parents/guardians).
